About

Official Bio

Clare Marshall grew up in rural Nova Scotia with very little television and dial up internet, and yet, she turned out okay. She has a combined honours degree in journalism and psychology from the University of King’s College, and is a graduate from Humber College’s Creative Book Publishing Program. She founded Woulds & Shoulds Editing and Design in 2010 for self-published authors looking for quality editing and design services. She’s also an author-publisher at Faery Ink Press, where she published her first book, Within in 2011. When she’s not writing, she enjoys playing the fiddle and making silly noises at cats.

Unofficially…

I love reading. Like I said, I came from a small place, so reading was the natural pastime. Check out my review policy for what I love to read. I also love to write, and I feel like each book I read adds to my writing technique.

About this Blog

I started Faery Ink Press a million bajillion years ago, but maybe last year (2011) I started doing book reviews. Nothing serious, just here and there. But since Faery Ink Press has grown, I felt like my reviews needed a new home. And I wanted to be more serious about my book reviewing. So YA Fantasy Book Reviews was born! I’m dedicated to reading the best (and the not-so-best) YA fantasy and giving you the low-down. See my review policy for more.
